How To Find Your Soul Mate Using The Law of Attraction

by Lourdes Elardo-Gant

Part of the Christian mythology about the creation of the universe is the story of the Garden of Eden. In this story, God created what he defined as paradise for the first two human beings, Adam and Eve. He told them that they would be happy there as long as they did not try to think for themselves. He defined this with the analogy of a simple apple tree which he called the Tree of Knowledge. He gave to each the ability to eat the fruit of this tree should they decide to do so, and warned them that if they did eat from the Tree of Knowledge they would be banned from paradise forever. In this story, people are being led to believe that the only way they can achieve the happiness they seek is to give up their right to think for themselves. But the exact opposite is the truth. We actually need to do both.

About Lourdes Elardo-Gant Magical Manifesting Mentor, Lourdes Elardo-Gant, is an award-winning, sought after International Law of Attraction Coach. She delivers simple ways women can manifest the man of their dreams, and design their relationships so they can turn their life into that of an amazing Goddess and powerful feminine Divine being. Lourdes is the author of the book and CD series, Immigration Magic & Immigrant’s Success Secrets, and the author of the amazing program “How to Manifest a Million Dollar Husband in 10 Magical Steps.” Visit www.milliondollarman.ca for more information. We need to choose to “let go and let God” as an act of free will. This means we need to take full responsibility to act with faith. We need to stop thinking about every little thing we do and just LET go and let the vastly most powerful, complex, dynamic energies of the universe provide that to which we choose to open.

In the Silva Mind Development training, a major point we are taught is to simply have FAITH. The equation we are given is that FAITH = DESIRE + BELIEF + EXPECTANCY. So the first step is to have a burning desire to manifest your soul mate. The second step is to put aside all historical judgments and simply have a fundamental belief that this will become so. The 3rd step is to have a genuine expectancy of being in this relationship with your soul mate. Stop trying to determine how to get there. Simply let go, and visualize with every aspect of your being, actually being within the relationship. See it, feel it, taste it, orgasm into it, love it, reject all fear, all hesitation, all rationalization, all doubt, all qualification. Just let go and be within that existence. In short, the first step is to simply have faith. This is the true power of FAITH.

Once you are into this state of faith, then you must open yourself up to all possibilities. Do not carry with you any preconceived notions as to who the perfect soul mate will be. Because as those who have gone before us who made Law Of Attraction work can easily tell you, what ended up as the ultimate achievement for them in the creation of their soul mate was not what they preconceived it to be. In short, trust the wisdom of the process. Allow the mind to help you energize and meld with the ultimate possibilities of the universe with all that its wisdom can bring into your life.
In order to open to all possibilities, you must set aside your idea as to what the end result should be. Trust the process with the good faith that is necessary to make it work for you.

In the process of doing this there is nothing more crucial than to take care of yourself. Taking care of yourself is the cornerstone of the foundation you are creating upon which you will build this new relationship.

The act of taking care of yourself within this realm of open faithfulness to the process will lead to a surprising clarity as to who you are, how to meld into the energies of the universe, and how to see your soul mate when he shows up in your life. You really do not know who he will be. He could be a dwarf, or a giant. He could be immensely successful in a multitude of philistine earthly ways or he could be someone with the beautiful simplicity and purity of a monk. He could be an ordinary farmer standing in a field of gold melding with the world around him in a way that goes beyond anyone you have ever encountered in your life. The truth is he will be what you have opened yourself to see.

Only then will the pragmatic come into play in a way that will be effective. You will find yourself being easily able to spend quality time with those who matter. No longer will you waste your time trying to mentally weed out those that you should reject as potential soul mates. From this will naturally arise a healthy tendency to enhance your relationships with others with your new found inner developed qualities. You will find you can now trust your emotions to guide you with a new found wisdom. At this stage you will come to a profound realization that the primary purpose of seeking out your soul mate has actually been fulfilled in the creation of yourself as a whole person, and you will begin to truly celebrate your existence. From this celebration will come the ultimate attraction of the person you were destined to spend the rest of your life with.

Communicating with Higher Intelligence

Welcome to another edition of the SIGA Success Strategies online magazine.

In this issue we will get a glimpse of how Jose Silva's understanding evolved in regards to communicating with higher intelligence.

Mr. Silva said that "All scientific conclusions are semi-conclusions. You get a more powerful telescope, a more powerful microscope, you can learn more."

Here is something he wrote several years before he developed the UltraMind ESP System and the revolutionary MentalVideo Technique, which gave him what he had long sought: A reliable way to obtain information, help, and guidance from higher intelligence.

Here is the early concept regarding how we get help from the other side... the "semi-conclusion" from Jose Silva:

(Editors Note: When more of the picture was revealed to him, he realized that we must go even deeper than we can go consciously, because we need to use the "Delta Doorway" to the other side to communicate with higher intelligence...)

by Jose Silva

I believe that we were placed on this planet for a purpose.

Whoever put us here must have had some reason. Whoever put us here, I refer to as higher intelligence...So what am I supposed to do while I am here? There must be some reason I am here. What should I be doing?

It makes sense that if somebody sent me here, it would probably be to help correct problems. That is our reason for being here, our purpose in life. Here is why I believe this:

HELP CORRECT PROBLEMS

It seems like we haven't finished the evolutionary process yet. We are still inventing things to make life better, and there seems to be more that needs to be done. So perhaps I'm here to correct problems.

That does make sense doesn't it? If you are employed by somebody, they employ you to do a good job. If you do a good job they pay you for it. If you don't do a good job, they'll quit paying you for it, won't they?
If you do an outstanding job, they'll promote you. They will give you more responsibilities - and more pay. You will enjoy life that much more, you will get more satisfaction.

The more problems you solve, the more rewards you are going to get. It sure seems to work like that, in life as well as in business.

CAUSE AND EFFECT

What happens if we are creating problems?

I am out there creating problems, why should higher intelligence even want me around?

Maybe that's why people who create problems end up having so many problems. Maybe not at first, but sooner or later that law of cause-and-effect seems to balance out.

This approach has worked for me for my entire life. And it has worked for Silva Method graduates who apply it for more than a quarter of a century.

When you program to correct problems, and keep in mind what your needs are, plus a little bit more, then you will get everything you need to continue to be successful and happy.

FINDING YOUR PURPOSE

If you want to know how to carry out your purpose in life, then enter your level and ask. You will get answers.
It is important to ask at deep levels. Practice the Long Relaxation Exercise (Silva Centering Exercise) - relaxing parts of your body, then relaxing your mind, until you are very deeply relaxed both physically and mentally.

From this deep level, you will get in touch with your "higher self" as some people call it. I call it the other side. On the other side - in the spiritual dimension - I believe that there are beings who have been assigned to help us.
These beings are not limited by time and space the way that we are. They have access to more information than we do. They can formulate better plans than we can.

So enter your level. Deepen that level by using any of the deepening exercises as you learned in the course (relaxation, countdowns, etc.)
And ask what you should be doing here.

Find something to do that is of a constructive and creative nature, then do it, and all things will be added unto you.

Say It Right – How To Create Powerful Affirmations With John Assaraf

by FinerMinds Team  December 21, 2010

Editor’s note: Spiritual Entrepreneur John Assaraf is an inspiration to many. He’s spent lots of time helping others live more full and successful lives, and one of the ways he does this is by creating effective affirmations. Check out what he’s written about making your affirmations more powerful. We’ve reprinted the post in full here from John’s site, for your convenience. After you’ve read it, write us to share one of your new, more powerful affirmations. http://www.finerminds.com/

Making Your Affirmations More Powerful

by John Assaraf

When you create affirmations, you need to focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. People often articulate their goals in negative terms. For example, “I want to be in a fulfilling, lifelong relationship” and “I don’t want to end up sad and alone” might seem like two ways of saying the same thing. They’re not. To your subconscious brain, they are saying the opposite. Your subconscious doesn’t know the difference between “I want” and “I don’t want.” It just hears “lifelong, fulfilling relationship” or “sad and alone.”
If you want to master your affirmation to create the wealth and prosperity you desire, I will show you how.

Are You A Self-Violator?

From Debbie Ford http://www.debbieford.com/ : Copyright 2010, Debbie Ford. All rights reserved. P.O. Box 8064 San Diego, CA 92038 (800) 780-9198

This weekend, as I'm leading The Shadow Process, I can't help but be present to how mean we are to our most precious selves. My heart aches thinking about the years, months, weeks, days, hours, and minutes that we spend thinking negative thoughts, dwelling on painful experiences and repeating old patterns. If we truly are going for a better life -- more love, more peace, more fun, more intimacy, more success, more money, more anything good -- then we must unconceal what prevents us from feeling worthy of receiving the gifts that we all deserve. So today is the day when you can begin to admit the truth that you might be the culprit who is keeping yourself from having it all.
Take this test:

Do you say more than five negative things to yourself each day?

Do you think negative thoughts about your life, your body, your talent or your future? (Tell the truth!)

Are there regrets from more than a month ago stored in your body?

Are you carrying a resentment toward someone from your past who has hurt, betrayed or caused you pain in some way?

Do you keep your mouth shut when you want to speak up?

Do you say "Yes" when you mean "No" more than twice a week?

Do you eat foods that make you feel bad or have you wishing you had made a better choice?

Have you been working on a goal for more than a year with no plan, no support structure or no confidence that you can really fulfill it?

Do you spend more time dwelling in the past than living in the present?

Do you constantly wish for something that you don't have?

If you answered yes to three or more of these questions, I'd like you to consider that you are participating in self-violation -- crimes against yourself -- mean, cruel, hurtful and dishonoring acts which cause you to shrink in the face of greatness and rob you of living a life you love.

As a self-violator, you are the one who continues the self-abuse. You are the one who hurts yourself with your thoughts, your words, your actions or your non-actions. And you are the ONLY one who can take responsibility, take back your power and change self-violation to self-love, self-care self-respect, self-dignity and self-success.

Transformational Action Step

This weekend, while most of you will not be with me at The Shadow Process, you can begin your own by writing out a list of all the ways you violate yourself. Then make the commitment to begin the process of transforming self-cruelty into self-love. Next week we will continue this journey with what you can do to bring more love to that which you loathe.

Success Strategies by Jose Silva

Following is from the SIGA Success Strategies online magazine.  Enjoy!

It must be easier to be negative than to be positive, because so many people are.

Jose Silva was criticized by just about everybody when he began his scientific research into a field that most knew little about.

His friends, his church, the government, even his wife tried to warn him away from conducting his research. But he persisted, and we have the Silva Method today because he did.

Here are some of his thoughts on the matter.

by Jose Silva

Beware of those who try to keep you from learning all that you can, for knowledge is important to us. Ignorance does not exempt us from suffering; but knowledge exempts us from suffering.

Ignorance of the law of gravity will not exempt you from suffering if you jump off a tall building. Knowledge keeps us safe.

From time to time we encounter people who insist that we believe in whatever they tell us to believe, and to avoid what they tell us to avoid.

What do these people fear?

If they have confidence that what they have to say is right and is best, then why should they fear having people seek more knowledge?

The Silva Method encourages people to seek knowledge, to seek truth.

And the thing that threatens those who are insecure about their own faith is that the Silva Method gives people tools to use to learn the truth.. about anything and everything.

What do those who speak out against seeking knowledge have to hide?

Sometimes it is interesting to watch those people at work. Since they do not have substance, they resort to emotionalism and demagoguery to attract and keep followers. And since there is no substance to their appeal, they do not want people to learn how to find the truth.

Hitler operated that way. He aroused people to a high emotional state, to a state where their critical consciousness was suspended. All the time, he was projecting very strongly his image of what he wanted. This image was able then to penetrate direct to the listeners' subconscious.

When people are fearful or confused, they suspend their ability to analyze, to make critical judgements. And the programming is done at a deep subjective level. Since it is a subjective level, no impression is made on brain cells, and the person does not have any way to review the "program" that was impressed on the subconscious.

Please note that this is a type of objective programming - that is, it is done through physical means, such as words, and the person's aura.

Silva Method graduates have programmed themselves to be protected from such tactics. And, through the ability to enter level and to convert the subconscious into an inner conscious level, they can learn the truth.

Religious revivals get a lot of converts through using such emotional approaches and powerful programming. And be assured, the people who achieve prominence and power are the people who project strong subjective messages.

But revival conversions are usually not permanent. This is because it takes continuous pressure to maintain such things. The emotional level must be kept high, and the programming must be reinforced, or eventually people see through it.

On the other hand, Silva Method techniques are permanent - because they are true. They are beneficial, they solve problems, they help people and help solve problems. They are not based on imaginary stories and theories that can not be proven, but are based on principles that produce results.

All that is necessary with the Silva Method is that you apply the techniques and get results. When you get results and your life improves because of this, then you will keep seeking more and better results.

We think this is a much better way than constantly being fearful of things you can not see, and that can not be proven. If there is a hell, then perhaps it is a condition created here on earth by people who spread fear, and hatred of their fellow humans, and who create problems instead of solving them.

Seek the truth, and the truth shall make you free - free to make your own choices. But some people want to insist that you choose their choice, choose only what they believe is right. I don't call that freedom. It is not my way.

To Sleep, Per Chance To Dream – How To Learn From Your Dreams

by FinerMinds Team February 7, 2011

Have you ever tried to use your dreams for personal insight? There’s plenty of ‘cook book’ information out there on the symbolism in your dreams (if you see a dog it means this; if you talk to a doctor it means that …). Some of these books, like horoscopes, are pretty superficial. Others can be deeply insightful.

Carl Jung, the famed psychoanalyst and student of Freud went beyond Oedipus and right into archetypes of the psyche. He suggested that your dreams - and each element in them – respresent different parts of your self. Jung believed our dreams are rich with meaning that can deepen self-knowledge. That is if you take the time to understand what they want to tell you.

But here’s the thing, you have to remember your dreams if you want to ‘work’ with them for deeper insight into your life. So if this idea interests you, here’s two things you need to do in order to improve your dream recall AND get more meaning and insight from what you remember.

Intend to Remember

First things first: you have to build your recall muscle. The more you practice this, the better you’ll get at remembering even what might seem like insignificant details. So before you go to sleep each night, repeat a simple, clear phrase over and over again. Here’s a few samples:

■I wake and remember my dreams

■My dreams remain clear when I wake

■I have total dream recall

■Tomorrow I’ll remember all my dreams

Dream Journal

If you’ve even tip-toed around the subject before, you probably already know that keeping a dream journal is the single most important habit for effectively recalling your dreams. But a dream journal serves a much greater purpose. Using a journal helps you actually dialogue with your sleep-time adventures, to gain insight for your waking life. Here’s how you do it:

1.Keep a dedicated dream journal right next to your bed.

2.As soon as you wake, write down everything you remember. (This will increase the more you do it).

3.Make a short list of the elements in the dream that stand out most to you. This could be because they trigger the strongest feelings or because they were so clear or because they were important to the ‘plot’ of your dream.

4.Begin a dialogue with these elements – one at a time. Let’s say a chair figured prominently in one of your dreams. You can open the ‘conversation’ by writing: “Chair, why were you in my dream and what do you have to tell me?”

5.Listen with every part of your being. Have you ever heard a strange noise in your house and stopped everything you were doing just to figure out what it was? In these moments, it’s as if every cell in your body is listening. Well, you want to ‘listen’ for the answer just like that.

6.Write down what you hear or see, or any impressions that come.

7.Keep the dialogue going until the story and meaning unfolds.

Have you ever ‘worked’ with your dreams? What did you do to remember than and get helpful insights for your waking life? eave a comment and tell us more.

Red Alert! – Chakra Meditation For Clarity And Balance

by FinerMinds Team January 16, 2011

Hey everyone,

It’s chakra week here at FinerMinds and we’re kicking it off with something red – your ‘root’ chakra. For the next 7 weekdays, we’ll be giving you a chakra meditation a day for more clarity and balance.

And as any good yogini knows, it all starts at the root.

In the ancient language of Sanskrit, the root chakra is called Muladhara. If your Root Chakra is WEAK, BLOCKED or CLOSED, it can manifest like this: You’re stuck in an unfulfilling and unrewarding career; you never seem to have enough money; you’re in debt; spending money is stressful; or you have trouble budgeting effectively. Physically, you may suffer from weight or body issues, leaving you with a sense of unworthiness, or feeling uncomfortable in your own skin.

If any of these things feel a little too close to home, AND you’re ready to really live your full life potential, have a look at this root chakra balancing meditation.

Beautiful huh? What do you think about using a chakra meditation like this for balancing and healing? Do you think meditation and energy clearing are useful tools for overall awesomeness? Leave a comment and let us know.

Smile and the World Smiles with You

From Finer Minds:

"Smile at the world and the world will smile back at you."

Step 1. From the moment you awake to the moment your head hits the pillow, constantly imagine that you're smiling from the inside at your outer reality.

Step 2. Imagine you're smiling from deep within your mind and from within your heart. You are projecting that happiness and smile outward through your eyes and expression.

Don't be surprised if people comment on the sparkle in your eyes or when your mouth automatically curls upwards :-)

Step 3. Imagine that your heart is filled with the pure joy of being alive. And for this it continues to smile.

Now continue doing this for at least a week every day. You'll begin to notice monumental changes. Not just in how you interact with the outside world but also in how the world acts and projects reality towards you.

People will notice your presence and be able to sense your Inner Love and Smile without understanding why.

Do You Use Focus?

Focus...Do You Use It?  Do you find it difficult to hold a focus for long?

Perhaps you've heard it said that if you can hold a single thought for 17 seconds it becomes a material reality...can you do that? Have you tried? Many people are doing well if they can focus on a thought for even 4 seconds!

How can you improve your focus-ability? Practice. Practice doing what? Meditation. Yes, meditation holds the power to increase your ability to concentrate, focus.  Modern scientific research proves that regular meditation actually changes the brain! "Focused attention begins to build new neuronal circuits that, once established, will automatically activate those parts of the brain that involve motivational activity. And the more that activity is repeated, the stronger those neural circuits become." ("How God Changes Your Brain" by Waldman and ) Literally, with practice, the structure of the brain's cells alters.

How do you motivate yourself to meditate? Desire. Desire for a better quality of life, a problem solved, a new opportunity etc.

By now Silva Method Graduates are already recognizing the pattern: Jose Silva knew and taught that Faith is necessary to achive goals. Faith is comprised of three parts: Desire, Belief and Expectancy.

Desire - the conscious choice - comes first...after all, if you had no desire for something different you wouldn't even be thinking about doing something, having something or experiencing something other than what you already have! Desire is almost always considered the 'driver', the power behind change. It's the potent force which brings about whatever you're goal may be.

Belief is next.  If you believe change can happen, it can. With enough desire and focus, it does!

Some people have layers of beliefs. By that I mean that on the surface, the conscious level, their belief is that they can have it (whatever 'it' may be). They deserve to have 'it'. They then expect to have it because they deeply desire it. Yet, too often, 'it' never arrives.

Expectation "reflects our neurological propensity to believe that we can, and will, accomplish our goals. It's "different from hope because it give you the inner conviction that your goal is attainable, even if it seems irrational."

---------------

Herbert Benson "relaxation response" Harvard, early 1970s,
Progressive relaxation, Zen and yoga, relaxation phase of hypnosis and TM all show decreased oxygen consumption, slower respiratory rate, decreased heart rate and (other than hypnosis) decreased blood pressure.
"...meditating on any form of love...appears to strengthen the same neurological circuits that allow us to feel compassion toward others."

Grok It – How To Heal Your Money Model In 3 Steps The Abundance Action Plan)

by Dawn DelVecchio December 16, 2010 FinerMinds

To grok something, according to Wikipedia, at least, is the ability to "both comprehend something intellectually and apprehend (relate emotionally and spiritually) to its essence."

The word grok comes from sci-fi writer Robert A. Heinlein in his book, "Stranger in a Strange Land", and for most of us today, to grok something means simply, to get it.

Over the last 10 years or so, a whole new consciousness about money has emerged. Marry that with the power of the web to reach, well, billions, and you've got possibilities for financial abundance previous generations couldn't even dream of.

But a lot of us are still eeking by, wondering why some folks are singing the songs of wild success while we're still living hand-to-mouth. We're doing all the right things – from affirmations to meditations to taking action steps – but it's like something just wont give.

What's going on?

What's going on for a lot of peeps who seem to have all the right ‘tools' in their money toolbox, is that they haven't grokked the vibe of wealth. I'm not talking about "intellectual comprehension". I'm talking about unconscious habits of interaction that keep us stuck in the ‘ain't got no money' blues.

Some of the greatest teachers of success and wealth mindset today have given us awesome guidance. Like many of us, they came from humble backgrounds with less than ideal money models. And they often share these stories freely, inspiring us to reach for our greatness financially and in all ways.

But what's the difference between the Jack Canfields, Lisa Nichols, John Assarafs and Tony Robbins of the world and the rest of us? Well, they grokked it.

We all know by now that the Law of Attraction requires us to change our focus if we want to change our experience, whether that's about money, love, health or an annoying neighbor. The question is, are we really doing it?

So let's say you've got a money model based on scarcity. You know you've got it and you know, thanks to the Law of Attraction, that the myths surrounding who can have financial abundance and who can't are all BS. So you're visualizing more money, you're thinking positively, you're scribbling lists of appreciation, and maybe you're even taking action like going to a wealth mindset seminar or starting an online biz.

Yet the weeks and months go by and it seems like the improvements are either slow in coming, non-existent, or off-set by unexpected expenses that leave you in the same !*&!! place.

I believe there are two things missing …

The Echo

Bashar, a channeled guidance whose been helping folks change their lives for the past couple of decades, says that when we start to change a habit, life will offer us an ‘echo' of the old thing. It's a kind of test to see if we've really shifted our energy and attitude about the old habit or belief. This is one of the places where a lot of us get stuck.

You're doing all the right things, almost. But what happens inside of you when it's time to pay the bills, when the pay check comes or when the success you're just itching for is not quite happening? What does it feel like in that wordless place of your being every time you have to actually deal with money? If you're feeling (and therefore vibrating) things like anger, fear, impatience or frustration, then what could have been an echo is now an even deeper groove in your broken, money model record.

The more often you repeat the old, unconscious emotions, the deeper the groove. In other words, you're silently and unconsciously undermining all the good stuff you're doing because your emotional charge about it hasn't actually changed.

Act as If

Abraham, the channeled guidance offered by Esther Hicks, says most of us don't experience major changes in our lives because we're stuck in "what-is-itis". We focus on what's in front of us and if we don't like it, we complain about it, even if silently.

Now the question that's been baffling me is: how do we Act as If we're wealthy if we have no idea what that's like? If we've got deep grooves of stress and worry and scarcity in our life blueprint, how on earth can we fake it? Abe offers lots of tools to help us Act as If, too many to get into here, but the essence of all of them is this: look for abundance wherever you can find it and let your mind dwell there.

Your Turn!

So let's wrap this all up in a nice, AAP (Abundance Action Plan). There are three specific steps I want you to take during the holiday season and right through into the New Year. Yep, I want you to commit to these three steps for a minimum of 1 month and ideally, 40 or more days. You've got to do the internal ‘work' to change your external experience. In short – it's up to you. Are you ready? Here we go …

1. Deep Awareness

Become deeply aware of your thoughts and feelings around money, especially when you are doing the things (like paying bills or balancing your check book) that trigger old vibes of scarcity, fear or anger. Notice them, observe them like an objective scientist.

This isn't the same thing as getting wound up over them. I just want you to look, sense, and become really aware of what things trigger which feelings. When you step back like this and just observe, all of a sudden, you're not so charged by the emotions anymore. You get a little perspective or ‘space' from the actual feelings, and it's in that space that you open a door inside yourself for change.

2. Ask the Right Questions

Asking things like "Why can't I succeed?" or "When am I ever going to get ahead?" will not – let me repeat this – will NOT help. Once you've got a pretty good bead on your emotional habits around money, and when those emotions are triggered, you've got to ask constructive questions. Questions like: "How can I rearrange the way I'm prioritizing my expenses to leverage my current income better?" or "Who can I speak with that's got a great money model about how they organize their finances?" or "How many different ways can I look at this so that it feels different inside me?"

3. Fake It

Where in your life is there abundance already? Maybe you've got plenty of hot water to shower with on cold mornings. Maybe you can enjoy a big mug of coffee every morning. Maybe your kids are healthy and full of energy or your own body is vital and strong. Maybe your car works great or you don't even need a car because the mass transit system in your city goes just about everywhere. Maybe you live close to nature and there are plenty of trees and lots of fresh air. Maybe you've simply got all your fingers and toes.

Whatever and wherever you can find abundance, focus on it, appreciate it, dwell on it, be thankful for it – then do this every single day. You may not be living in a mansion yet, but you might have enough blankets to keep you cozy on a cold night, so see, see, see the abundance you do have, and bask in it every time you catch yourself drifting into thoughts and feelings of scarcity.

Afformations – A New Approach to Positive Thinking

Positive Affirmations Don’t Work For You?
Try Afformations — The New Approach to Positive Thinking

by FinerMinds Team  June 18, 2010

Positive affirmations are positive statements that you exclaim everyday to manifest in your daily life. Lot’s of people use it to start the day or to get what they want. But for some, these affirmations don’t do anything more than create unfulfilled desires.

If this sounds familiar and you find positive affirmations don’t really work for you, Noah St. John is about to share with you his 4-step process of Positive Afformation to turn this around and help you manifest your daily desires effectively (and no, we didn’t spell that wrong!) :)

Find out what positive afformation is, learn how to apply it to your life…and when you’re done with this exercise, let us know what your afformations are in the comment box below.

Afformations – A New Approach to Positive Thinking

by Noah St. John, Ph.D.

If you’ve ever read a self-help book, you know that traditional success teachers have told you to say “affirmations” – positive statements that you’d like to be true. For example, a classic “affirmation” is: “I am rich.”
Try it. Say “I am rich.”
What just happened? Did you hear a voice in your head that said: “Yeah, right!”?
There’s only one problem with “affirmations”: they really don’t work for most people. Why? Because you’re trying to convince yourself of something you don’t really believe.

Have you ever been persuaded to try “affirmations”… and then had absolutely nothing happen?

Me too. And about a gazillion other people.

One morning in April 1997, I was in the shower, thinking about how the human mind works. I realized that human thought IS the process of asking and searching for the answer to QUESTIONS. For example, if I asked you, “Why is the sky blue?”, your mind would start searching for the answer.

So I asked myself a logical question: “If the human mind is always asking and searching for answers to QUESTIONS, why are we going around saying statements we don’t even believe? Why don’t we cut out the middleman?

Take the “affirmation” “I am rich” – to which the brain replies “Yeah, right!” What would the QUESTION be?
“Why am I so rich?”
Try it. Ask yourself: “Why am I so rich?”
What’s your brain doing right now? Searching for an answer to the QUESTION!
The staggering realization I made that morning in April 1997 was that you create your reality in two ways: by the statements you say to yourself and others, and by the questions you ask yourself and others. Until then, no one had fully realized, or shown how to harness, the awesome power of what happens when you ASK EMPOWERING QUESTIONS.
And that’s why I named my discovery The Afformations Method.

How to Increase Your Willpower

from the FinerMinds blog

Yesterday we took a little peak at comfort zones and their total unsex-appeal. But what is it that will really get us moving in new directions, thinking new thoughts, trying new things – especially when we’re over-worked, stressed out or just plain pooped?

Judith Beck says it’s will power and that we’ve all got it. She’s got 11 great tips to cattle prod you off the couch and into action! (Hint: the last one may be the most important of all.)  (This Huffington Post article is reprinted here in full for your convenience.)

Want to Increase Your Willpower? Here’s How

Judith S. Beck, Ph.D.

I have an unscientific definition of willpower: It’s getting yourself to do something that you don’t want to do.

Everyone has willpower. People who are healthy (physically and psychologically) have 100 percent willpower in some areas. For example, you may brush your teeth, get dressed, and leave for work on time every day, whether you feel like it or not.

But most people have at least one area in which they have much less willpower. You may, for example, have difficulty getting yourself to consistently eat in a healthy way, exercise, hold your temper, keep your spending in check, or pay your bills in a timely fashion — even though you’d like to be able to get yourself to do these things and you recognize the consequences of not doing them.

What gets in the way of exerting willpower in an area that’s important to you?

A major contributor is your thinking. For example, as you’re walking through a big box store, you see a large, Blu-Ray-ready, high-definition television. You think, “I really want that. It would be so great to watch TV on that instead of what I have now.” Your inclination is to pull out your credit card and buy it. The next set of thoughts that pops into your head will determine what you do. If you think, “I can’t afford it. It will just drive me deeper into credit card debt. I’ll have to wait,” you will feel disappointed, but you’ll end up walking away. On the other hand, if you think, “I know I shouldn’t get it but I have to have it,” you’ll end up buying a TV that you can’t afford.

How can you increase your willpower? Here are some techniques, using exercise as an example, that should help:

Specify your goal in behavioral terms.

Not, “I want to be more physically fit,” but, “I want to go to the gym three times a week for 45 minutes.”

Make sure your goal is reasonable.

If you have been sedentary, you may need to start off with a more modest exercise goal and increase your efforts as you go along.

Reflect on all the reasons you have to reach your goal.

Think of as many reasons as you can and keep adding to the list:

I’ll be healthier.

My back won’t hurt.

My body will be more toned.

I’ll look better.

I’ll be stronger.

I’ll be able to carry bags of groceries more easily.

My body won’t hurt after a long car ride.

I won’t have so many aches and pains when I get up every morning.

I’ll be proud of myself.

I’ll be more attractive to others.

It will reduce my stress.

Read this list every morning, even if you think you don’t need to.

You never know when your willpower will slip. Prepare yourself every day. And the more you read through your list, the clearer it will be to you why you should push yourself to engage in a behavior that perhaps at the moment, you’d rather not do.

Reflect on the consequences of not reaching your goal.

“If I don’t get myself to the gym, I won’t be healthier; my back will hurt; my body won’t be toned, I won’t look better, I won’t be stronger, ” and so on.

Prioritize.

If you already have an overly busy schedule, how will you find the time to get to the gym? You will need to say, “Going to the gym is a top priority. Which activities and tasks will I need to postpone, delegate, do less of, or do less well?” Then enter “going to the gym” in your schedule and make it sacrosanct.

Solve problems that interfere with goal attainment.

To get to the gym three times a week, you may need to negotiate with others, be more flexible with your timing, or ask for a ride. Beware of all-or-nothing thinking like, “If I skip one day at the gym, I might as well skip the whole week,” or, “If I can’t do 45 minutes, it’s not worth going at all.”

Beware of excuses.

“It’s okay to skip the gym today because I’m tired/I’m upset/it won’t really matter/I don’t feel like it/I’ll go tomorrow instead/I deserve a break.”

Say “no choice.”

You probably don’t give yourself a choice about wearing a seat-belt. Whether you feel like wearing it or not isn’t relevant to you. You do it anyway. You don’t struggle over the behavior because you have already decided you just have to do it. Put going to the gym in your “no choice” category.
Recognize that every time matters.

It’s not that each time is crucial for building muscles. It’s that each time is crucial for building the habit of going to the gym. Every time you’re tempted to skip going, and you do skip, you’re reinforcing your habit of giving in, which makes it more likely that in the future you’ll also give in. But every time you’re tempted to skip going and you make yourself go, you reinforce your habit of doing what you need to do to reach your goal, which makes it more likely that you’ll keep up the habit in the future. So every time matters. Don’t fool yourself into thinking it doesn’t.

Give yourself credit.

It’s important to positively reinforce yourself every time you take steps toward your goal. Saying, “It’s good that I’m doing this,” can help you build your sense of self-efficacy and your sense that you can make yourself do things you don’t want to do, which will help during the moments in which your willpower wavers. Don’t wait until you reach your ultimate goal to praise yourself. It’s very important to do so all along the way.

One big payoff for working toward a goal isn’t always obvious from the start. When you make yourself do things you don’t feel like doing, you will likely feel more in control, which may also lead to other positive spin-offs in your life. “I can make myself go to the gym — maybe that means I can also make myself …” Building willpower, accomplishing goals, and feeling in control can be powerful rewards in their own right.

Comfort Zones And 6 Tips For Breaking Out Of Them

Seduction 101 – Your Not-So-Sexy Comfort Zones And 6 Tips For Breaking Out Of Them

by FinerMinds Team
No point in denying it, you’ve got ‘em too – those comfy places that feel easy, familiar, and nice-n-safe. I’m not talking about physical locations, I’m talking about inner zones. I’m talking about the parts of you that think the same thoughts, do the same things, follow the same routines, beliefs and habits day in and day out. I’m talking about those places inside you where nothing new grows.

Comfort Zones are great if your main goal in life is, well, comfort. But growth and expansion are part of our human nature, so when comfort seduces you into waiting for a ‘better’ time to try something new, go for that dream, write that book or take that wild and crazy chance, just remember this: comfort’s best friend is a not-so-sexy fellow. His name is Stagnation.

Here are 6 tips to help you bust out of your comfort zone and give Stagnation the boot. They’re excerpts from the article “How to break Out of Your Comfort Zone” on lifehack.org.

1. Understand the truth about your habits.

They always represent past successes. You have formed habitual, automatic behaviors because you once dealt with something successfully, tried the same response next time, and found it worked again. That’s how habits grow and why they feel so useful. To get away from what’s causing your unhappiness and workplace blues, you must give up on many of your most fondly held (and formerly successful) habits. and try new ways of thinking and acting. There truly isn’t any alternative. Those habits are going to block you from finding new and creative ideas. No new ideas, no learning. No learning, no access to successful change.

2. Do something—almost anything—differently and see what happens.

Even the most successful habits eventually lose their usefulness as events change the world and fresh responses are called for. Yet we cling on to them long after their benefit has gone. Past strategies are bound to fail sometime. Letting them become automatic habits that take the controls is a sure road to self-inflicted harm.

3. Take some time out and have a detailed look at yourself—with no holds barred.

Discovering your unconscious habits can be tough. For a start, they’re unconscious, right? Then they fight back. Ask anyone who has ever given up smoking if habits are tough to break. You’ve got used to them—and they’re at least as addictive as nicotine or crack cocaine.

4. Be who you are.

It’s easy to assume that you always have to fit in to get on in the world; that you must conform to be liked and respected by others or face exclusion. Because most people want to please, they try to become what they believe others expect, even if it means forcing themselves to be the kind of person they aren’t, deep down.

5. Start by putting yourself first.

You’re unique. We’re all unique, so saying this doesn’t suggest that you’re better than others or deserve more than they do. You need to put yourself first because no one else has as much interest in your life as you do; and because if you don’t, no one else will. Putting others second means giving them their due respect, not ignoring them totally. Keeping up a self-image can be a burden. Hanging on to an inflated, unrealistic one is a curse. Give yourself a break.

6. Slow down and let go.

Most of us want to think of ourselves as good, kind, intelligent and caring people. Sometimes that’s true. Sometimes it isn’t. Reality is complex. We can’t function at all without constant input and support from other people. Everything we have, everything we’ve learned, came to us through someone else’s hands. At our best, we pass on this borrowed existence to others, enhanced by our contribution. At our worst, we waste and squander it. So recognize that you’re a rich mixture of thoughts and feelings that come and go, some useful, some not. There’s no need to keep up a façade; no need to pretend; no need to fear of what you know to be true.

Celebrating Winter's Gifts of Replenishment

by Lea Houston

This fall as the nights grew longer and the days shorter, I realized I was resisting the change of season and grieving for summer's long days and warmth.

Resisting seasons and longing for what was past - how's that for a sure path toward misery?

So, I settled into myself and noticed the resistance and the grieving. It surprised me really, because I so relish the seasons. My husband David teases me that I claim every season and every month as my favorite. And yet this year something in me was clinging to the summer and resisting winter.

Do you ever notice how when you just acknowledge your resistance with kindness, the resistance begins to shift itself? My story - that I was dreading winter- quickly fell away and I remembered- brought back into my body- the many things I love so much about winter.

Winter is the yin time of the year. In our yang-biased modern world it is a bit revolutionary to truly honor Winter Yin's gifts of reflection, listening, inner wisdom, introspection, replenishment and mystery. Honoring Yin is a revolutionary act we need to be able to connect with the rhythms of Nature and of Soul.

Over thirty years ago I had a dream that transformed my relationship with winter. At the time I was teaching grade school, leaving home in the dark, returning home in the dark, feeling rather like a mole and struggling with the lack of light.

Late that autumn a dream came to rescue me. It was a simple dream in which I was with a dear friend outside an old farmhouse in the dark of night. The air, cool and moist on my skin, was heavy with the rich, tangy fragrance of decomposing leaves and plants, the power of the season palpable with fertile vitality drawing earthward to rest and replenish. The dream suffused me with the absolutely perfection of the season and my place within it. I woke up transformed, feeling grateful for the sweet healing power of the yin darkness of the season and inspired to embrace and celebrate the winter rather than to push it, or wish it, away. Since then each year I have celebrated the replenishing Yin Power of Winter with my family, students and friends in as many ways as possible.

A few of my favorite ways to celebrate winter

Many people tell me they struggle with winter's darkness. If you do, perhaps a few of these ideas will help guide you toward a happier relationship with the season. If you love winter already, may these add to your pleasure.
** Make friends with darkness.

What does darkness want to teach you? Perhaps to turn inward, to see the invisible, to be safe with the unknown, to hang out in mystery?

** Go for night walks.

Take advantage of the long nights for night walks and star gazing.

Last year on my December birthday the day itself was quite un-noteworthy until nighttime when David and I walked the mile-long dirt road through the woods to my parents' house. The night was cold and invigorating and we were gifted with the two most amazing shooting stars I have ever seen. If we had driven we would have missed the magic.
** Create a spell of enchantment with candlelight.

Candlelight lends a glow of romance and enchantment to any activity, including journaling, lovemaking, dining, singing, sipping tea by candlelight and makes the long nights a celebration.

** Revel in the coziness of your favorite winter clothes.

As much as I love sarongs and sundresses in the summer I adore velvets and soft scarves and bundling in sensual layers in winter. What does your winter skin crave?
** Sleep more. The dark nights call you to get more sleep, to build up your inner reserves for the busyness of longer days ahead. Very few adults and even children get enough sleep. More sleep helps you resist illness and depression, be thinner, stronger and happier.

** Nourish your inner body and your life force with warm moist foods.

What do you crave in the cold time that makes you feel good at the moment and later? My family loves soups, stews, teas and fruit crisps.

** Gather by the fire like your ancestors.

Tap into the ancient winter wisdom with fireside storytelling and singing, inside or outside.

** Cultivate your deep creativity by incubating, hibernating and involuting.

( More on these next week in the article In Praise of Hibernation.)

What does the winter want you to know?

What gifts is the darkness calling you to discover?

Turn That Dial! – How To Use Creative Visualization

by FinerMinds TeamJanuary 10, 2011

Is Your Station Tuned To Creative Visualization?

When it comes right down to it, your mind is what’s behind all of your successes in life. And as tough as this sounds, all your failures, too. There are a bunch of ways you can harness your mind’s power to create the life of your dreams, but maybe the most powerful one is creative visualization.

Creative visualization is a simple method of harnessing your imagination to create change. When you use it the right way, you’ll find your power to attract opportunities, prosperity and happiness increases dramatically.

Why Creative Visualization Works

As we know from Quantum Physics, everything is energy – including your thoughts. Combine this with the Law of Attraction, which states that ‘like attracts like’, and you can now put together the puzzle of this power.
Think of your thoughts as radio waves, continually projecting outward from your mind. Even though you can’t see them, radio waves fill the air. When you turn on a radio and set it to a station, we can only hear the sounds (music, news, commercials) that are riding the frequency you’re tuned to. What you can’t hear are all the many other frequencies flying around, vibrating at a different frequency.

Different thoughts have different frequencies too, so if you’re thinking (and therefore, vibrating), frequencies of doubt, fear or failure, guess what you’re going to get? Yep. Doubt, fear or failure.

What Creative Visualization Can do for You

What creative visualization does is change the frequency of your thoughts. By taking time every day to imagine something you want, you’re basically changing the frequency of your particular radio station. Now keep in mind that if you’ve been tuned to KCRAP FM for the past 5 or 10 years, a single visit to the KJOY station isn’t going to suddenly turn your life around.

BUT … If you start listening to KJOY daily for awhile (along with her sister stations KSMILE and KTHANKS FM), guess what? Things are going start turning around for you!

How to use Creative Visualization

Using creative visualizations isn’t exactly as easy as changing a radio dial – but it’s not rocket science either. There are a bunch of ways you can start, depending on what you like to do. Here are a few ways.

■If you’re a linear thinker, you may want to start with a timeline of events. Let’s say you want a better job. You can start the way all creative visualization starts, by creating a private, quiet space to begin. Relax your mind, breath deep, and if you can, get into a meditative state. Then let a story unfold. Use as much detail as possible. Maybe you’re in your favorite coffee shop one morning when you run into a friend who introduces you to someone looking for a new employee with exactly your skills … Keep going with this story, a little bit every day for about 10 days, until you’ve pluncked yourself down (in your mind’s eye) at your new desk.

■If you’re a visual person, you can start with some art supplies. Maybe you want to paint, draw or make a collage of the improvements you’re aiming for, then look at it every day before and after a quiet time of visualization.

■If you’re more of a word person, you may want to start with writing down or speaking your goals out loud before each visualization period.

When you add creative visualization to your daily routine – even just 10 minutes – it’s like tuning into your own personal empowerment station. Try it – and let us know how you like tuning your mind to your success frequency!

What Is Everyone's Purpose in Life?

Jose Silva's experiences - and the great success he was guided to achieve despite his humble beginnings - convinced him that he understood what our purpose in life is.

It is not complicated, not difficult to understand. The only question is how you can best carry out your assignment. Even that is not difficult a difficult question to answer:

Just look around you. What problems do you see? Okay, now - pick one, and get to work.

That is all there is to it. You don't have to like it; you don't have to enjoy it; you don't have to
get rich doing it; you don't have to impress anybody. All you have to do is: Correct problems.

In this article, Jose Silva explains why he felt so strongly about this.

by JOSE SILVA

Because of my experiences, I believe that we were sent here to planet earth to correct problems and to help complete the job that the Creator started.

But not everybody agrees with me.

So why am I convinced that my belief is correct?

It is because of my experiences.

For some reason, I have always been interested in solving problems. Whenever I see that something needs to be done, I want to do it.

That was how our research on the mind began.

I started studying psychology, and applying what I learned.

Before long, I was seeing results.

That's when my neighbors started asking me to work with their children. Eventually they began to ask me to also teach my techniques to them.

Of course, I helped them. I helped everyone who asked for my help.

And I never charged for my help. I never even let them reimburse me for my expenses.

Can you imagine someone working for a year, two years, five years, ten years, or more, without getting anything out of it? Who would do something like that?

Why would I do something like that?

I asked myself those same questions. My research was helping a lot of people, but it was taking me away from my family and my business. It was costing me money, and depriving my children of a full time father.

So why should I keep doing the research?

Actually, I didn't just decide to keep on doing it.

        I quit.

In fact, I quit two times.

Each time, within two hours, something happened to
get me to continue.

The first time I quit it was 2 o'clock in the morning. Shortly after going to bed, I had a dream. There was bright light, and two sets of numbers: 2-3-2 and 2-7-2.

Eventually, late in the day, a friend who was helping me found a lottery ticket with one of those numbers. Of course we purchased it. It paid $10,000.

I felt like this was a message from the other side, from high intelligence, telling me to keep working.

        I kept working.

The next time I quit was on a rainy Saturday morning. As I sat there pondering my decision to quit, my son ran in with some rolled up papers in his hand. I noticed something strange about them immediately:

Even though it was raining outside, the papers were dry.

I unrolled the papers. On the top was a picture of the face of Christ.

I felt like He was scolding me for stopping. After all, hadn't I been given $10,000 a few years before, to encourage me to continue my work?

That "personal visit" was the last incentive I ever needed. I kept working, and am still working today, to show people how to actually use more of their minds to help themselves and their loved ones.

So, based on my own personal experience, and of my observations of thousands of other people, I believe that when we are centered, then we are guided by high intelligence on the other side.

They tell us what to do.

They don't speak to us of course; they are spiritual beings, not physical.

They send us ideas, when we are at level.

Our job is to recognize the ideas that come from the other side. We must find a way to distinguish those ideas from our own ideas.

A sure way to tell is by noticing the results that you get.

When you are working on a project, you will probably encounter obstacles.

The first time you encounter an obstacle, notice how long it takes you to deal with it.

Then the next obstacle you encounter, how long does it take to deal with it? If it takes twice as long, this might be a sign from the other side that you are going in the wrong direction.

If it takes half as long to solve the problem, then this could be a sign that you are moving in the right direction.

Keep going. When you encounter another obstacle, does it take more time or less time to deal with it?

If the obstacles continue to become more and more difficult, and take longer to remove, then you are probably going in the wrong direction. If you take two steps backward for every one step forward, you are losing ground.

Enter your level. Analyze the project. Figure out what you must do so that you take two steps forward for every one step backward. That is the way most projects go:  you encounter a problem, take a step back and then go forward again.

        Then do something different.

When you are on the right track, your efforts will be rewarded. When you are going the wrong way, you will encounter more obstacles.

Take the path of least resistance.

During our research, I did not always know why I was doing certain things, or where it would lead. I just continued to meditate, to work hard, and to take the path of least resistance.

I always like "lucky coincidences." What that means to me is that God is helping without showing His hand. Now, however, we can see it all. We know how to get help from high intelligence, and know that we are getting it.

When good things happened during my research, I did more of what I had been doing. When things did not go well, I tried a different path. It paid off then, and that approach still pays off for me today.

That is not to say that you should be quick to quit. Not at all. We have to prove that we are willing to put forth the effort, that we will accept the responsibility that is given to us.

But we don't batter down doors. After you have made a good effort, over a period of time, to open a new door in your life, and the door still won't open, then back up, take a deep breath, enter your level, and look around to see if there is another door.

When you take that one step backwards, you may find a way to take even more than two steps forward before you encounter another problem that you must solve.

Eventually, when you continue to follow the guidance from the other side, you will find that you do not encounter any more obstacles but go straight to your goal.

It does not take a great deal of wisdom to be successful when you follow this procedure. All that you really have to do is to do what you are guided to do.

There was an old joke many years ago. A man went to his doctor with a complaint. The man raised his arm above his head and told the doctor, "Doctor, it hurts when I do that."

The doctor's solution was very simple: "Then don't do that."

If you are having problems in your life, then "don't do that." Enter your level and figure out what you can change. Then make the change, and evaluate the results.

When you find something that makes your life better, then do it.

We all want to be happy.

My experience has taught me that happiness comes from solving problems. That's what we were sent here to do.

When we do it, we will be well rewarded.

So, enter your level, figure out what you should be doing. Then go do it, and notice the results. If you encounter too many obstacles, and they keep getting bigger and more difficult, then enter your level again and figure out something else to try.

When things are going well, and you are receiving rewards and incentives, and you are happy, then you know that you are doing what you were sent here to do, and that is to make this planet a better place to live.

Take it from me: In my 80 years on this planet, I have found that the people who watch out only for themselves might accumulate a lot of things; but the people who work to solve problems feel a lot better about themselves, and are much happier.

What Channel Do You Watch?

As 2011 begins, the forces of the universe conspire to make these early days of the new year an unbelievably powerful time to assess where you've been, acknowledge where you are right now, and dream your most beautiful life into being. This is the time to drench yourself in holiness and to move outside the limits of your thinking mind while tuning into the Divine mind that is connected to you.

I like to think of it like this. Imagine for a moment that you're sitting in a comfortable, plush chair in front of a large, high-definition TV screen. You have a remote control in your hand, and you are just about to tune into a particular channel.

This is the station where you've spent most of your time over the past 6 to 12 months. It contains the programming - the content - that has most often captured your attention, and it directly relates to the predominant experiences, thoughts, and feelings you've had over the past year. So, with that in mind, what channel have you been watching and listening to?

Was it one of the following:

The I Have the Greatest Life In The World Channel, The I'm It Channel, The Stress Channel, The Poor Me Channel, The Peace Channel, The Self-Esteem Channel, The I Finally Lost My Weight Channel, The Health and Wellness Channel, The Insecurity Channel, The Fear Channel (a very crowded one!), The Love Channel, The I Got The Man of My Dreams Channel, The It's All Their Fault Channel, The Having It All Channel, The Gratitude Channel, The There's Something Wrong With Me Channel, or The Year Of The Light Channel?

The options are truly infinite -- good and bad, high and low, happy and sad. Ultimately, you have to pick.

The truth is that you are, right this minute, living the greatest reality show that will ever be made -- produced and directed by you. It's on 24 hours a day and will continue for the rest of your life. So if you are in fact producing and directing what can be the greatest show of your life, you might as well commit to loving every second you are writing it, editing it, casting it, and directing it.

When you have a clear consciousness, you have the power to wake up more and more to where you are focusing your holy energy. You can consciously choose the highest vibration possible. You will get to choose what kind of show you're going to watch. While your consciousness is clouded with the past, the future, your fears, and your outdated beliefs, you are strangled by the repetitive nature of your programming. So I'm thrilled to support you this year in cleansing your consciousness and going beneath the surface of your human mind to access the powers and miracles of your divine mind.

Transformational Action Steps

(1) Choose three channels that you desire to tune into each day of 2011. Program your universal remote control by writing out why you are worthy and deserving of listening to and watching these channels, how the world will be a better place if you stay tuned into these channels, and how it will serve others.

(2) Make a list of anything you need to let go of to ensure you will stay on the channels that will move your sweet soul, heal your heart, inspire you to take action, and give you a deep sense of peace at the very center of your being.

(3) Get a buddy to support you in staying tuned into your channels.

How to Build Genuine Prosperity

Genuine Prosperity is Built on Spiritual Foundations

by Jose Silva

All programming for prosperity should be built on spiritual foundations

The first step is to enter the spiritual dimension, the alpha level, and determine what your purpose in life is. Find out what you are here for, what you are supposed to do with your life. Then you take steps to meet your obligations.

When programming for money or other material things, the first thing to think about is what you are going to do when you get it. You don't want to just go away on a vacation and forget everything else.

Your obligations continue while you are still alive and still have breath of life. Even if you have to drag yourself across the ground, you still have the same obligation to try and do your best to correct the problems on the planet. When you are not here any more, then you cease to be obligated.

If you do the right job, then money will come to you. Because people who need you will request, will ask for you, will attract you, and will be willing to pay you for your services. If you are a good worker, then everybody wants you, and will be willing to pay a fair amount. But if you're not, they don't want you.

This was why whenever I went to look for a job, when I was in the service and needed to supplement my income, everywhere I'd go they'd ask what I wanted to earn, and I answered, "Whatever you think I'm worth. Try me out, and pay me accordingly."

Spiritual foundations

In the spiritual dimension, you determine what your purpose in life is. Then you plan how to go about doing it. Then you transfer it to the physical dimension.

That is the concept of the man who said, "Whatever the mind conceives in the spiritual dimension, and believes enough to transfer to the physical dimension, you will achieve." So the achievement was the transference of that particular thing that was created in the spiritual world, into the material, physical world.

It is just like the materialization of thoughts. You have to first create them spiritually, and then you use them in the physical world, to make sense with them, to serve a purpose with them. It is no good to just test them in one dimension. You have to go from one to another and have sense in both dimensions. The spiritual has to be first; we have to think about it before we act on it.

And remember, when programming, you do not program just because you want something, but because you need it. You may not always get what you want, but you can get what you need. And that depends on what you are going to need it for. If it is to correct problems, then you will probably get it.

I program to attract whatever we need. I do not program to receive more than what we need, but I sure put emphasis on receiving no less than what we need.

Of course, you need to know in your own mind just what it is that you need. You don't have to ask for it, but keep it in mind and everything will be automatic from there on.

You don't need to ask specifically for $50,000 if that's what you need; just keep your goal in mind, and program for all bills to be paid, or to have the things you need. Program to see your projects completed, and keep in mind what it takes to do it, as though somebody were looking in and wanting to know what you need so they can send it your way, whatever your needs are. If you don't keep it in your mind, there is no way for whoever is trying to help you to know.

It is always best to program in increments. For instance, suppose a person wants a lot of money and decides to program to start earning a lot of money. It is better done in small steps. For instance, some people lose their wits; they get spoiled when they get too much of what they are not used to having.

Some people are destroyed by their first failure, while others are destroyed by their first major success. So let's have successes in small amounts, leading up to being able to be successful. Sometimes when a person is too successful too rapidly, he goes off in all directions, and doesn't know how to cope with it. We say do not be ruined by your first failure, or spoiled by your first success.

As long as you keep yourself centered, and are fulfilling the purpose you were sent here for, you will succeed and be prosperous in all areas of life. Successful first in the spiritual dimension, and then the followup of being successful is in taking advantage of what was in the spiritual world, will now be in the physical world. You help it to be transferred from one dimension to another.

Thinking, planning, analyzing, are done in the spiritual world first.

It must be done first in the spiritual world; this is a requirement. Meaning non-physical, meaning think about it, meaning use your mind, your thoughts, your human intelligence.

Plan it out, a step by step procedure. Short goals. Take the first step, followed by the second, and so forth.

Q: Do you program specifically for a new car, if you want a new car?

Again, the rules of the spiritual dimension: You have to think about it first, and set the rules spiritually before they can be materialized. You need to pass the test spiritually, meaning, is this correct? Then you are going to get materially, physically, what you need.

You should justify your needs in all fairness.

Do you specifically program for certain specific amounts of income for this business?

Do you feel that everything you have acquired, you need? Or have you gotten some things you just want?

Everything that I have acquired, I think I have acquired it because I needed it.

Like the jewelry for instance? Again, jewelry, it is not that much. It is to have a safety factor in case or an emergency. We don't want to cause problems for anybody. We don't want to go begging in case of an emergency. We can exchange it, so we can get whatever we need in an emergency. We don't have to bother somebody else.

We could include psychological needs, emotional needs, social needs, and so forth. If it helps you work better, do a better job, then it is a need.

What about your Cadillacs? Wouldn't it have been better to buy two Chevrolets, you drive one and give the other to a needy person who doesn't have a car but needs one?

We might being doing something wrong, because he needs to qualify for his own needs. That might destroy him, it might make him a selfish person because then he would not need to do whatever he is supposed to do, and he would not evolve and develop. Somebody is doing his thinking for him.

Are we using up our natural resources too rapidly by having a big expensive car, one that takes more raw materials to make, that uses more fuel, etc.?
That's debatable. Some people make money from our purchasing fuel. Money is reaching so many pockets, it is buying something, and others will receive benefits from it.

Don't Quit!

When holding a Silva class I'm often asked "how long will it take to achieve success?" and the answer is "as long as it takes for your goal to be made real".
Too often we quit before our dreams can come true.
Keep on programming...keep on taking the actions which support the programming...keep on...see your dream made manifest!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,

When funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit!!

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won,
If you’d stuck it out!

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
Its when things seem worst that
You must not QUIT!!

Your Inner Sanctum – How To Create A Meditation Room

by FinerMinds Team  February 21, 2011

A daily meditation practice is something many of us value. If you’ve practiced meditation for awhile, you know that the first requirement is a little privacy – a safe and quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.

For a lot of folks, this can be done in any part of their home, but if you’ve got kids, house mates, or share your boudoir with a partner or spouse, then creating a meditation room may not be a luxury but a necessity. Here are a few tips on how you can simply and affordably create a meditation room no matter what kind of space you’re in.

1. Keep it Simple

You don’t need to decorate your space with elaborate art and sculpture. The basics will do just fine: a clean, quiet space that’s uncluttered and has a cushion or chair that suits you best.

2. Beauty and Meaning

With number 1 (above) in mind, you can still make your meditation room look nice. Find objects, fabrics and symbols you may have in other parts of the house and re-assign them to your new space. They should have meaning to you and not be too energetically ‘noisy’ to be distracting.

3. Smells Good

Some incense, potpourri or an essential oil candle with meditative scents are perfect for your contemplative time.

4. Sounds Good

You can add a small sound system, though it’s not necessary. Some people like to meditate to soft, soothing music or chants. Others prefer silence or the sounds of nature outside there window (assuming there is nature outside their window). But especially if you live in a noisy city, southing sounds played at low volume can really help you get into that tranquil, meditative state. Another option is a set of small chimes by an open window, or blown by a small fan.
5. When there’s no more Room at the Inn

Maybe you simply don’t have a separate room you can dedicate solely to meditation. Fear not! There’s still a way … Using fabric or an old fashioned dressing screen in the corner of a room will do. The important thing is to make it your space, and a dedicated space that remains undisturbed and unused except for meditation. Ask anyone else you share your home with to honor that space and stay out unless invited.

Inner House Keeping – 5 Steps To Clear Limiting Beliefs

by FinerMinds TeamFebruary 21, 2011

You’ve got the tapes, you do the meditations, you think positively, you say affirmations, you look for things to appreciate, you exercize, eat right and have cut down on the booze or other bad habits. You’re so close – so close. Yep, you can almost taste it. But still, the things you want to be, do and have seem a long way away from where you stand right now …

If these words are hitting home for you, maybe it’s time to dig a little deeper – below your conscious mind and into the subconscious – so you can clear limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Here’s a 5-Step process that really works wonders when you do it right (and it’s not hard to do it right).

Name ‘em

The first thing you want to do to clear limiting beliefs is to give them names. This will take a little digging and examining first, but when you get a good ‘bead’ on the limiting belief, give it a name like this: “the mind of the …” So if your limiting belief has to do with personal power (or lack there-of), you’d give this belief the name “The Mind of the Powerless One”. If it has to do with love, you could name it “The Mind of the Loveless One”.

Un-claim ‘em

The next step is to un-claim these mindsets as you. They’re not you, they’re mindsets. And how do you ‘un-claim’ them? With words or pictures. If you use words, you’d say this: “She [or he] has nothing to do with who I AM.” If you’re a visual person, you could draw pictures – one of you and one of each of the mindsets – as clearly separate and distinct from you (and preferably smaller :))

Don’t Blame ‘em

Aha – now the tricky part! Instead of pushing against or trying to blame these mindsets for all your problem, the power of this exercise comes when you embrace them. Yeah, you read that right: embrace them. Here’s why. These mindsets developed for a reason, and that reason had something to do with your needs at the time. So if, for example, you felt powerless as a child, some part of you said, “well, okay, so I’m powerless. It sucks, but this is what life is so I guess I have to deal with it and stop worrying about it.” And that’s what you did. It may have worked to help you cope with being powerless when you were young, but now, it just acts like a devil that undermines you every time you try to be power-FUL.

Thank ‘em

Thought the tough part was over? Nope. This is the key step – to uncover all the ways these mindsets served you over the years. Psychologists call these ‘secondary gains,’ and a great example is when someone gets lots of attention for a problem. This step is about owning your part in allowing these mindsets to continue. It’s not fun, but boy when you do it, the relief and freedom is awesome!

Set ‘em Free

Here’s the fun part. Once you’ve named, un-claimed, removed blame and said your thanks, you get to set them free :) The best way to do this is to simply proclaim “I send you back to source.”

All Together Now

Okay, now that you’ve got the steps, let’s put it all together (one mindset at a time, please). If you use words, it will sound like this:

“I embrace the Mind of the [fill in the blank]. S/he has nothing to do with who I am, but s/he has served me well. S/he has [make your list here ...]. I thank you for helping me when I needed you, and now I send you back to source. I am free to live.”

Give this a try the next time a limiting belief rears its ugly head. Then let us know how it goes by leaving a comment below. Happy Inner House Keeping!

Etheric Projection Technique

Posted by Astral Projection Team on 24, February 2011
Steve G. Jones

M.Ed., Clinical Hypnotherapist
OK, Time to take your Astral Projection skill to the next level. Here is a special technique for you. It’s called The Etheric Projection Technique. Just follow those 11 steps and have an open mind and enjoy!

Etheric Projection Technique (Etheric projection is the state of least separation from your physical body in fact you don’t have to leave your body just sit in it and look through your closed eye lids.) You can try this technique at anytime but I’ve found it works on a lazy afternoon or if you set your alarm for an hour before you’d usually get out of bed).
1. The first time you try this you need to be in a certain state of mind. You have to be in a Zen like state (empty headed) even in a regressive, sleepy (but not really tired) mood. Basically you need to be in a relaxed dreamy state of mind to begin without any stress from an appointment within the next couple of hours.

2. I’m personally lucky (or unlucky) depending on your view point to have a very empty unthinking head :¬) but you can deepen this by listening to certain music for half n hour before you start. I find the band Boards of Canada to be the best at this as they use sample loops that are from childhood, but those mood CD’s with whales n sea on the shore n bird songs are the good too.
3. Have a CD on that will balance out the noise you might experience in your chosen room. I use a looped a Hemi-sync mp3 called theta that just sounds like speaker hiss gradually moving in a wave form, this is suppose to produce theta waves in the brain (works for me). Try and use something that your brain cannot recognize and hook into those mood CD’s will do just set the volume so its as equal as you can get it to the ambient noise in the room. (Free Hemi-sync Music or Travishartnett music)

4. Choose your book, it should be a challenging read but not something that you have to tie your brain in a complete knot to read.

5. Lay down with your book, making sure the body is warm but not hot (just get comfy but not so it makes you want to sleep immediately).

6. Read and read but you want to get into a state where the text in the book has promoted your brain to fantasize about a related topic. I find this happens all the time if I’m not careful, I loose focus and slip off into imagining something else. You eyes might be drooping and if you feel the need to close them do so.

7. DON’T SLEEP! as soon as your eyes are closed I want you to “very” gently try to recall the page you were just reading. Imagine that book is still in your hand a few feet from your eyes and you are still reading that page. Don’t force it! Don’t try to screw up your eyes and see the page. I’d say you were just seeing blackness with flashing colours and formless shapes at this time.

8. Don’t focus on the shapes and colors keep reading the page in your mind, see the type face and if there was a diagram on the page imagine that. All the time keep the feeling that the page is held in your hand away from your face in a normal reading position.

9. This next part will either happen or it won’t but if it does you’ll not really notice from anything from 5 to 60 seconds. You’ll still be imagining this page and reading it and then you suddenly notice that your not recalling the page from memory anymore your actually seeing the page and the book in seeming complete reality. When you get better you’ll notice that at some that this point is like the second eye lid of a lizard or a shark. It just flicks open and your vision becomes crystal clear and bright and you instantly see the page.

10. If you don’t loose this due to the shock I’ll be surprised, its what always seems to a happen. Your mind is perfectly fine in that 5-60 second period where your seeing the imaginary/real book but as soon as you realize the implications and process all this you shock your self and loose it. DON’T be shocked if you open your eyes when this happens and your blind, it will only last for a maximum of 20seconds and your vision will return (a bit tunnel like from the center to the outside).

11. At the opening of this inner eye(s) you need to keep relaxed and in the same state as before. Don’t think too much, stop reading the book and look into your room, turn your head very gently. Note the quality of the light in particular (usually very golden) now you have to try and stand up and leave the room, I use the door but many people like to walk through walls or fly through the ceiling. If like me you have a reasonably logical mind you’ll find flying very difficult and walking through walls is like walking through treacle. I can recommend slowly pushing your head through the glass of your window as personally I can see and feel the molecules of my body and the glass move around each other.

12. Things get very odd :¬) you’ve managed to etheric project which you’ll be unable to keep focused on and you’ll astral project as soon as you leave the room where your body is located.

Personal Development Ideas – 4 Tips For Happiness

Why do you do what you do? What motivates you to be successful, have relationships, go to work, take up hobbies, spend time with friends or go on holiday? What is it that you are really looking for at the deepest level? Take a brief moment to reflect on this.

The answer given by at least 90 per cent of the people I ask is happiness. As William James, the father of modern day psychology said, ‘how to gain, how to keep, how to recover happiness, is in fact for most men at all times the secret motive of all they do’.

Quite simply happiness not only feels good, but it’s good for your health, your relationships, your work and our society. Happy people have more fulfilling lives, experience a deeper sense of connection to others and to nature, are more likely to contribute to the well-being of others and they consistently perform at higher levels than those who aren’t happy. Happiness in a nutshell provides us with the fuel to thrive and flourish as human beings. Society, business, families, children and our planet need happy people.

4 Tips for True Happiness

True Happiness describes a deep sense of well-being, inner peace and vitality that is with you most of the time in most circumstances. Unlike ‘normal happiness’ which is transient and dependant on ‘getting what we want’, true happiness is independent of our life circumstance, it’s their irregardless of our life situation. Here are the first of my top tips for moving you in the direction of True Happiness!

1. Stop believing everything you think

One of the most common causes of unhappiness is living in your head and taking seriously the ‘stories’ that your head creates. Most of what we think isn’t true and had no bearing on reality. One of the quickest ways to experience True Happiness is to shift from being identified with our thoughts to being the awareness of our thoughts. A simple and quick way to disengage any stressful story that your head is making up is to notice what the stressful thought is, for example ‘there’s no way I can get this done in time’– then say that stressful thought out loud (or silently in your head) very slowly – with a few seconds gap in between each word. Breathe slowly throughout and repeat 2 to 3 times, noticing as you do so how a sense of inner spaciousness, well-being and balance starts to open up inside of you.

This is the experience of what I call the true Self, the source of true happiness! If you practice this often throughout the day for three days and I am almost certain you will experience a profound shift in the way you feel. You can also use this technique for freeing yourself from any self-limiting beliefs that you have.

2. Get in alignment with reality

Anytime we fight or resist the reality of reality – how things are right now – our body-mind becomes tense and we will experience stress. One of the golden keys to true happiness is to start accepting reality. This doesn’t mean you have to like reality – for example we might not like the fact that right now our partner is upset with us or that we aren’t doing work that is fulfilling to us, but accepting that this is so does an extraordinary thing. It instantly frees of us tension, we start to feel a real sense of well-being (despite our situation) and the ideal response to the situation we are in spontaneously arises.

You simply know what to do! One simple way to get in alignment with reality is to use Byron Katie’s The Work – it’s a series of simple questions that help shift our relationship to reality. You can download the instructions form www.thework.com

3. Welcome and work with, not against your emotions

One of the keys to true happiness is to shift from a focus on feeling good to getting good at feeling. As you learn how to welcome all emotions equally – including anger, sadness and fear, an extraordinary and surprising thing happens – you start to feel at peace and well-being despite what you are feeling.

So next time you have a comfortable emotion rather than trying to sedate or control it try this – locate where the emotion is strongest in your body. Now imagine its just simply stuck energy wanting to flow, say to it silently ‘soften and flow’ and get a sense of where it wants to exit your body. Be patient, give it plenty of space and watch how it starts to flow out of your body. Keep repeating until all of the emotional charge has gone. Notice how you feel so much more energized and how the issue about which you were feeling those emotions has positively shifted.

4. Tap into the power of gratitude

When we experience gratitude, we shift from what’s wrong and what’s missing to what’s right and what’s present. By making gratitude the foundation of your life and my experience is that you will start to see significant improvements in the way your life works out and how you feel. Gratitude changes everything. Try it now and at anytime throughout the day. Think about two things you are grateful for and then two things you appreciate about yourself. Allow yourself to feel and experience the gratitude for at least 30 seconds and notice how much better you feel.

Ignore the stories, get a reality check, feel the feelings and say thank you. Sounds simple. But not necessarily easy, eh? Which of these 4 feel-good must-dos have you mastered? Which are you learning about now? Leave us a comment and let us know.
