What Channel Do You Watch?

As 2011 begins, the forces of the universe conspire to make these early days of the new year an unbelievably powerful time to assess where you've been, acknowledge where you are right now, and dream your most beautiful life into being. This is the time to drench yourself in holiness and to move outside the limits of your thinking mind while tuning into the Divine mind that is connected to you.

I like to think of it like this. Imagine for a moment that you're sitting in a comfortable, plush chair in front of a large, high-definition TV screen. You have a remote control in your hand, and you are just about to tune into a particular channel.

This is the station where you've spent most of your time over the past 6 to 12 months. It contains the programming - the content - that has most often captured your attention, and it directly relates to the predominant experiences, thoughts, and feelings you've had over the past year. So, with that in mind, what channel have you been watching and listening to?

Was it one of the following:

The I Have the Greatest Life In The World Channel, The I'm It Channel, The Stress Channel, The Poor Me Channel, The Peace Channel, The Self-Esteem Channel, The I Finally Lost My Weight Channel, The Health and Wellness Channel, The Insecurity Channel, The Fear Channel (a very crowded one!), The Love Channel, The I Got The Man of My Dreams Channel, The It's All Their Fault Channel, The Having It All Channel, The Gratitude Channel, The There's Something Wrong With Me Channel, or The Year Of The Light Channel?

The options are truly infinite -- good and bad, high and low, happy and sad. Ultimately, you have to pick.

The truth is that you are, right this minute, living the greatest reality show that will ever be made -- produced and directed by you. It's on 24 hours a day and will continue for the rest of your life. So if you are in fact producing and directing what can be the greatest show of your life, you might as well commit to loving every second you are writing it, editing it, casting it, and directing it.

When you have a clear consciousness, you have the power to wake up more and more to where you are focusing your holy energy. You can consciously choose the highest vibration possible. You will get to choose what kind of show you're going to watch. While your consciousness is clouded with the past, the future, your fears, and your outdated beliefs, you are strangled by the repetitive nature of your programming. So I'm thrilled to support you this year in cleansing your consciousness and going beneath the surface of your human mind to access the powers and miracles of your divine mind.

Transformational Action Steps

(1) Choose three channels that you desire to tune into each day of 2011. Program your universal remote control by writing out why you are worthy and deserving of listening to and watching these channels, how the world will be a better place if you stay tuned into these channels, and how it will serve others.

(2) Make a list of anything you need to let go of to ensure you will stay on the channels that will move your sweet soul, heal your heart, inspire you to take action, and give you a deep sense of peace at the very center of your being.

(3) Get a buddy to support you in staying tuned into your channels.

How to Build Genuine Prosperity

Genuine Prosperity is Built on Spiritual Foundations

by Jose Silva

All programming for prosperity should be built on spiritual foundations

The first step is to enter the spiritual dimension, the alpha level, and determine what your purpose in life is. Find out what you are here for, what you are supposed to do with your life. Then you take steps to meet your obligations.

When programming for money or other material things, the first thing to think about is what you are going to do when you get it. You don't want to just go away on a vacation and forget everything else.

Your obligations continue while you are still alive and still have breath of life. Even if you have to drag yourself across the ground, you still have the same obligation to try and do your best to correct the problems on the planet. When you are not here any more, then you cease to be obligated.

If you do the right job, then money will come to you. Because people who need you will request, will ask for you, will attract you, and will be willing to pay you for your services. If you are a good worker, then everybody wants you, and will be willing to pay a fair amount. But if you're not, they don't want you.

This was why whenever I went to look for a job, when I was in the service and needed to supplement my income, everywhere I'd go they'd ask what I wanted to earn, and I answered, "Whatever you think I'm worth. Try me out, and pay me accordingly."

Spiritual foundations

In the spiritual dimension, you determine what your purpose in life is. Then you plan how to go about doing it. Then you transfer it to the physical dimension.

That is the concept of the man who said, "Whatever the mind conceives in the spiritual dimension, and believes enough to transfer to the physical dimension, you will achieve." So the achievement was the transference of that particular thing that was created in the spiritual world, into the material, physical world.

It is just like the materialization of thoughts. You have to first create them spiritually, and then you use them in the physical world, to make sense with them, to serve a purpose with them. It is no good to just test them in one dimension. You have to go from one to another and have sense in both dimensions. The spiritual has to be first; we have to think about it before we act on it.

And remember, when programming, you do not program just because you want something, but because you need it. You may not always get what you want, but you can get what you need. And that depends on what you are going to need it for. If it is to correct problems, then you will probably get it.

I program to attract whatever we need. I do not program to receive more than what we need, but I sure put emphasis on receiving no less than what we need.

Of course, you need to know in your own mind just what it is that you need. You don't have to ask for it, but keep it in mind and everything will be automatic from there on.

You don't need to ask specifically for $50,000 if that's what you need; just keep your goal in mind, and program for all bills to be paid, or to have the things you need. Program to see your projects completed, and keep in mind what it takes to do it, as though somebody were looking in and wanting to know what you need so they can send it your way, whatever your needs are. If you don't keep it in your mind, there is no way for whoever is trying to help you to know.

It is always best to program in increments. For instance, suppose a person wants a lot of money and decides to program to start earning a lot of money. It is better done in small steps. For instance, some people lose their wits; they get spoiled when they get too much of what they are not used to having.

Some people are destroyed by their first failure, while others are destroyed by their first major success. So let's have successes in small amounts, leading up to being able to be successful. Sometimes when a person is too successful too rapidly, he goes off in all directions, and doesn't know how to cope with it. We say do not be ruined by your first failure, or spoiled by your first success.

As long as you keep yourself centered, and are fulfilling the purpose you were sent here for, you will succeed and be prosperous in all areas of life. Successful first in the spiritual dimension, and then the followup of being successful is in taking advantage of what was in the spiritual world, will now be in the physical world. You help it to be transferred from one dimension to another.

Thinking, planning, analyzing, are done in the spiritual world first.

It must be done first in the spiritual world; this is a requirement. Meaning non-physical, meaning think about it, meaning use your mind, your thoughts, your human intelligence.

Plan it out, a step by step procedure. Short goals. Take the first step, followed by the second, and so forth.

Q: Do you program specifically for a new car, if you want a new car?

Again, the rules of the spiritual dimension: You have to think about it first, and set the rules spiritually before they can be materialized. You need to pass the test spiritually, meaning, is this correct? Then you are going to get materially, physically, what you need.

You should justify your needs in all fairness.

Do you specifically program for certain specific amounts of income for this business?

Do you feel that everything you have acquired, you need? Or have you gotten some things you just want?

Everything that I have acquired, I think I have acquired it because I needed it.

Like the jewelry for instance? Again, jewelry, it is not that much. It is to have a safety factor in case or an emergency. We don't want to cause problems for anybody. We don't want to go begging in case of an emergency. We can exchange it, so we can get whatever we need in an emergency. We don't have to bother somebody else.

We could include psychological needs, emotional needs, social needs, and so forth. If it helps you work better, do a better job, then it is a need.

What about your Cadillacs? Wouldn't it have been better to buy two Chevrolets, you drive one and give the other to a needy person who doesn't have a car but needs one?

We might being doing something wrong, because he needs to qualify for his own needs. That might destroy him, it might make him a selfish person because then he would not need to do whatever he is supposed to do, and he would not evolve and develop. Somebody is doing his thinking for him.

Are we using up our natural resources too rapidly by having a big expensive car, one that takes more raw materials to make, that uses more fuel, etc.?
That's debatable. Some people make money from our purchasing fuel. Money is reaching so many pockets, it is buying something, and others will receive benefits from it.

Don't Quit!

When holding a Silva class I'm often asked "how long will it take to achieve success?" and the answer is "as long as it takes for your goal to be made real".
Too often we quit before our dreams can come true.
Keep on programming...keep on taking the actions which support the programming...keep on...see your dream made manifest!

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you are trudging seems all uphill,

When funds are low, and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit!!

Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As every one of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure turns about
When you might have won,
If you’d stuck it out!

Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.

Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far.

So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit
Its when things seem worst that
You must not QUIT!!

Your Inner Sanctum – How To Create A Meditation Room

by FinerMinds Team  February 21, 2011

A daily meditation practice is something many of us value. If you’ve practiced meditation for awhile, you know that the first requirement is a little privacy – a safe and quiet place where you won’t be disturbed.

For a lot of folks, this can be done in any part of their home, but if you’ve got kids, house mates, or share your boudoir with a partner or spouse, then creating a meditation room may not be a luxury but a necessity. Here are a few tips on how you can simply and affordably create a meditation room no matter what kind of space you’re in.

1. Keep it Simple

You don’t need to decorate your space with elaborate art and sculpture. The basics will do just fine: a clean, quiet space that’s uncluttered and has a cushion or chair that suits you best.

2. Beauty and Meaning

With number 1 (above) in mind, you can still make your meditation room look nice. Find objects, fabrics and symbols you may have in other parts of the house and re-assign them to your new space. They should have meaning to you and not be too energetically ‘noisy’ to be distracting.

3. Smells Good

Some incense, potpourri or an essential oil candle with meditative scents are perfect for your contemplative time.

4. Sounds Good

You can add a small sound system, though it’s not necessary. Some people like to meditate to soft, soothing music or chants. Others prefer silence or the sounds of nature outside there window (assuming there is nature outside their window). But especially if you live in a noisy city, southing sounds played at low volume can really help you get into that tranquil, meditative state. Another option is a set of small chimes by an open window, or blown by a small fan.
5. When there’s no more Room at the Inn

Maybe you simply don’t have a separate room you can dedicate solely to meditation. Fear not! There’s still a way … Using fabric or an old fashioned dressing screen in the corner of a room will do. The important thing is to make it your space, and a dedicated space that remains undisturbed and unused except for meditation. Ask anyone else you share your home with to honor that space and stay out unless invited.

Inner House Keeping – 5 Steps To Clear Limiting Beliefs

by FinerMinds TeamFebruary 21, 2011

You’ve got the tapes, you do the meditations, you think positively, you say affirmations, you look for things to appreciate, you exercize, eat right and have cut down on the booze or other bad habits. You’re so close – so close. Yep, you can almost taste it. But still, the things you want to be, do and have seem a long way away from where you stand right now …

If these words are hitting home for you, maybe it’s time to dig a little deeper – below your conscious mind and into the subconscious – so you can clear limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Here’s a 5-Step process that really works wonders when you do it right (and it’s not hard to do it right).

Name ‘em

The first thing you want to do to clear limiting beliefs is to give them names. This will take a little digging and examining first, but when you get a good ‘bead’ on the limiting belief, give it a name like this: “the mind of the …” So if your limiting belief has to do with personal power (or lack there-of), you’d give this belief the name “The Mind of the Powerless One”. If it has to do with love, you could name it “The Mind of the Loveless One”.

Un-claim ‘em

The next step is to un-claim these mindsets as you. They’re not you, they’re mindsets. And how do you ‘un-claim’ them? With words or pictures. If you use words, you’d say this: “She [or he] has nothing to do with who I AM.” If you’re a visual person, you could draw pictures – one of you and one of each of the mindsets – as clearly separate and distinct from you (and preferably smaller :))

Don’t Blame ‘em

Aha – now the tricky part! Instead of pushing against or trying to blame these mindsets for all your problem, the power of this exercise comes when you embrace them. Yeah, you read that right: embrace them. Here’s why. These mindsets developed for a reason, and that reason had something to do with your needs at the time. So if, for example, you felt powerless as a child, some part of you said, “well, okay, so I’m powerless. It sucks, but this is what life is so I guess I have to deal with it and stop worrying about it.” And that’s what you did. It may have worked to help you cope with being powerless when you were young, but now, it just acts like a devil that undermines you every time you try to be power-FUL.

Thank ‘em

Thought the tough part was over? Nope. This is the key step – to uncover all the ways these mindsets served you over the years. Psychologists call these ‘secondary gains,’ and a great example is when someone gets lots of attention for a problem. This step is about owning your part in allowing these mindsets to continue. It’s not fun, but boy when you do it, the relief and freedom is awesome!

Set ‘em Free

Here’s the fun part. Once you’ve named, un-claimed, removed blame and said your thanks, you get to set them free :) The best way to do this is to simply proclaim “I send you back to source.”

All Together Now

Okay, now that you’ve got the steps, let’s put it all together (one mindset at a time, please). If you use words, it will sound like this:

“I embrace the Mind of the [fill in the blank]. S/he has nothing to do with who I am, but s/he has served me well. S/he has [make your list here ...]. I thank you for helping me when I needed you, and now I send you back to source. I am free to live.”

Give this a try the next time a limiting belief rears its ugly head. Then let us know how it goes by leaving a comment below. Happy Inner House Keeping!

Etheric Projection Technique

Posted by Astral Projection Team on 24, February 2011
Steve G. Jones

M.Ed., Clinical Hypnotherapist
OK, Time to take your Astral Projection skill to the next level. Here is a special technique for you. It’s called The Etheric Projection Technique. Just follow those 11 steps and have an open mind and enjoy!

Etheric Projection Technique (Etheric projection is the state of least separation from your physical body in fact you don’t have to leave your body just sit in it and look through your closed eye lids.) You can try this technique at anytime but I’ve found it works on a lazy afternoon or if you set your alarm for an hour before you’d usually get out of bed).
1. The first time you try this you need to be in a certain state of mind. You have to be in a Zen like state (empty headed) even in a regressive, sleepy (but not really tired) mood. Basically you need to be in a relaxed dreamy state of mind to begin without any stress from an appointment within the next couple of hours.

2. I’m personally lucky (or unlucky) depending on your view point to have a very empty unthinking head :¬) but you can deepen this by listening to certain music for half n hour before you start. I find the band Boards of Canada to be the best at this as they use sample loops that are from childhood, but those mood CD’s with whales n sea on the shore n bird songs are the good too.
3. Have a CD on that will balance out the noise you might experience in your chosen room. I use a looped a Hemi-sync mp3 called theta that just sounds like speaker hiss gradually moving in a wave form, this is suppose to produce theta waves in the brain (works for me). Try and use something that your brain cannot recognize and hook into those mood CD’s will do just set the volume so its as equal as you can get it to the ambient noise in the room. (Free Hemi-sync Music or Travishartnett music)

4. Choose your book, it should be a challenging read but not something that you have to tie your brain in a complete knot to read.

5. Lay down with your book, making sure the body is warm but not hot (just get comfy but not so it makes you want to sleep immediately).

6. Read and read but you want to get into a state where the text in the book has promoted your brain to fantasize about a related topic. I find this happens all the time if I’m not careful, I loose focus and slip off into imagining something else. You eyes might be drooping and if you feel the need to close them do so.

7. DON’T SLEEP! as soon as your eyes are closed I want you to “very” gently try to recall the page you were just reading. Imagine that book is still in your hand a few feet from your eyes and you are still reading that page. Don’t force it! Don’t try to screw up your eyes and see the page. I’d say you were just seeing blackness with flashing colours and formless shapes at this time.

8. Don’t focus on the shapes and colors keep reading the page in your mind, see the type face and if there was a diagram on the page imagine that. All the time keep the feeling that the page is held in your hand away from your face in a normal reading position.

9. This next part will either happen or it won’t but if it does you’ll not really notice from anything from 5 to 60 seconds. You’ll still be imagining this page and reading it and then you suddenly notice that your not recalling the page from memory anymore your actually seeing the page and the book in seeming complete reality. When you get better you’ll notice that at some that this point is like the second eye lid of a lizard or a shark. It just flicks open and your vision becomes crystal clear and bright and you instantly see the page.

10. If you don’t loose this due to the shock I’ll be surprised, its what always seems to a happen. Your mind is perfectly fine in that 5-60 second period where your seeing the imaginary/real book but as soon as you realize the implications and process all this you shock your self and loose it. DON’T be shocked if you open your eyes when this happens and your blind, it will only last for a maximum of 20seconds and your vision will return (a bit tunnel like from the center to the outside).

11. At the opening of this inner eye(s) you need to keep relaxed and in the same state as before. Don’t think too much, stop reading the book and look into your room, turn your head very gently. Note the quality of the light in particular (usually very golden) now you have to try and stand up and leave the room, I use the door but many people like to walk through walls or fly through the ceiling. If like me you have a reasonably logical mind you’ll find flying very difficult and walking through walls is like walking through treacle. I can recommend slowly pushing your head through the glass of your window as personally I can see and feel the molecules of my body and the glass move around each other.

12. Things get very odd :¬) you’ve managed to etheric project which you’ll be unable to keep focused on and you’ll astral project as soon as you leave the room where your body is located.

Personal Development Ideas – 4 Tips For Happiness

Why do you do what you do? What motivates you to be successful, have relationships, go to work, take up hobbies, spend time with friends or go on holiday? What is it that you are really looking for at the deepest level? Take a brief moment to reflect on this.

The answer given by at least 90 per cent of the people I ask is happiness. As William James, the father of modern day psychology said, ‘how to gain, how to keep, how to recover happiness, is in fact for most men at all times the secret motive of all they do’.

Quite simply happiness not only feels good, but it’s good for your health, your relationships, your work and our society. Happy people have more fulfilling lives, experience a deeper sense of connection to others and to nature, are more likely to contribute to the well-being of others and they consistently perform at higher levels than those who aren’t happy. Happiness in a nutshell provides us with the fuel to thrive and flourish as human beings. Society, business, families, children and our planet need happy people.

4 Tips for True Happiness

True Happiness describes a deep sense of well-being, inner peace and vitality that is with you most of the time in most circumstances. Unlike ‘normal happiness’ which is transient and dependant on ‘getting what we want’, true happiness is independent of our life circumstance, it’s their irregardless of our life situation. Here are the first of my top tips for moving you in the direction of True Happiness!

1. Stop believing everything you think

One of the most common causes of unhappiness is living in your head and taking seriously the ‘stories’ that your head creates. Most of what we think isn’t true and had no bearing on reality. One of the quickest ways to experience True Happiness is to shift from being identified with our thoughts to being the awareness of our thoughts. A simple and quick way to disengage any stressful story that your head is making up is to notice what the stressful thought is, for example ‘there’s no way I can get this done in time’– then say that stressful thought out loud (or silently in your head) very slowly – with a few seconds gap in between each word. Breathe slowly throughout and repeat 2 to 3 times, noticing as you do so how a sense of inner spaciousness, well-being and balance starts to open up inside of you.

This is the experience of what I call the true Self, the source of true happiness! If you practice this often throughout the day for three days and I am almost certain you will experience a profound shift in the way you feel. You can also use this technique for freeing yourself from any self-limiting beliefs that you have.

2. Get in alignment with reality

Anytime we fight or resist the reality of reality – how things are right now – our body-mind becomes tense and we will experience stress. One of the golden keys to true happiness is to start accepting reality. This doesn’t mean you have to like reality – for example we might not like the fact that right now our partner is upset with us or that we aren’t doing work that is fulfilling to us, but accepting that this is so does an extraordinary thing. It instantly frees of us tension, we start to feel a real sense of well-being (despite our situation) and the ideal response to the situation we are in spontaneously arises.

You simply know what to do! One simple way to get in alignment with reality is to use Byron Katie’s The Work – it’s a series of simple questions that help shift our relationship to reality. You can download the instructions form www.thework.com

3. Welcome and work with, not against your emotions

One of the keys to true happiness is to shift from a focus on feeling good to getting good at feeling. As you learn how to welcome all emotions equally – including anger, sadness and fear, an extraordinary and surprising thing happens – you start to feel at peace and well-being despite what you are feeling.

So next time you have a comfortable emotion rather than trying to sedate or control it try this – locate where the emotion is strongest in your body. Now imagine its just simply stuck energy wanting to flow, say to it silently ‘soften and flow’ and get a sense of where it wants to exit your body. Be patient, give it plenty of space and watch how it starts to flow out of your body. Keep repeating until all of the emotional charge has gone. Notice how you feel so much more energized and how the issue about which you were feeling those emotions has positively shifted.

4. Tap into the power of gratitude

When we experience gratitude, we shift from what’s wrong and what’s missing to what’s right and what’s present. By making gratitude the foundation of your life and my experience is that you will start to see significant improvements in the way your life works out and how you feel. Gratitude changes everything. Try it now and at anytime throughout the day. Think about two things you are grateful for and then two things you appreciate about yourself. Allow yourself to feel and experience the gratitude for at least 30 seconds and notice how much better you feel.

Ignore the stories, get a reality check, feel the feelings and say thank you. Sounds simple. But not necessarily easy, eh? Which of these 4 feel-good must-dos have you mastered? Which are you learning about now? Leave us a comment and let us know.

To Make a Change, Get Healthier, Better Sales

from Burt Goldman's Quantum Jumping

1.Go to the meditative level in order to get your emotions out of the way.

2.Go to the universe where there is a healthy you, but before that think of your twin self that is in perfect health. (For example, if you are ill you go see your Doppleganger who is in a perfect health). You plan it before you do your jump.

3.Meditate and visualize a door, sense it. Step over the threshold.

4.See your Doppleganger who is in perfect health, from an objective view. Sense that you are looking at your Doppleganger. Take a subjective view by merging yourself with your Doppleganger. Become one with him and start doing things that he is doing or things that you want to do. What you are doing is you are getting the energy of your Doppleganger and the rhythm

5.Come back to your body. Relax and imagine you are getting back through the door, the door closes and you come back to your body (you are in your body meditating).

Techniques to Finding Happiness

10-16-11

by Burt Goldman
I thought it would be nice to share with you something I received in my email inbox not too long ago from Gerald O’Donnell.
These are three things you should start doing every single day to increase your level of happiness NOW.
These three exercises are intended to be done at home on a daily and ongoing basis. They will open up a new level of awareness and prepare you foradvanced personal and spiritual development.
Exercise 1: A New Way of Being
This first exercise is a pleasurable and powerful life-changing tool. The effects of daily stress associated with materialistic obsession (and its by-products: anxiety, isolation, frustration, fear, anger and depression) can be dissolved by this technique. It is at the same time simple and very profound. It increases greatly the vibratory rate of your non-physical Higher Self. Its premise is “smile at the world and the world will smile back at you.”
As you go about your daily activities, from the moment you get up in the morning up to the the time that you go back to sleep, constantly imagine that you are smiling inwardly at your outer reality as you go about your daily activities. Imagine that you are smiling from the deeper recesses of your mind, originating from within your heart area, and that you are projecting that happiness and smile outward through your eyes and expression. No matter what the circumstances are. You will find increasingly that your eyes will be smiling and so will your mouth, that will often curl up to a slight smile.
At the same time imagine that your heart constantly expresses a great inward smile filled with pure joy of being alive, no matter what.
After 2 weeks or so, you will notice an incredible amount of changes, not only in the way you interact with the ‘outside’ world, but also in how the ‘world’ acts and projects reality toward you. Your fears will begin to abate and an inner feeling of peace and love will emerge. Notice how people seek your presence and ‘Inner Love.’
Exercise 2: The Witness
Set aside 5 minutes at first (keep increasing by 2-3 minutes every other day until you reach 20 minutes) and close your eyes. Turn your attention inward and, from being a ‘thinking’ human being, start viewing your thoughts as an independent observer in a detached remote manner, as if your thoughts were ‘things’ or a spectacle to watch. Watch the train of your thoughts and images, the succession of often unrelated thoughts that appear to you. Don’t analyze anything.
Learn to switch from the perception of being ‘in’ your thoughts to withdrawing from them and becoming the detached totally passive observer of them. Get the feeling for the mental shift that occurs when doing so. Go within the thoughts and then withdraw to a more detached level. After a while of repeating this exercise you will notice that your thoughts become more isolated and that your inner mind starts taking a break.
Now, here is the next part of the exercise. As you watch your train of thought (images or just concepts), pick up one particular thought that you find interesting and “plunge into it” with full concentration. Remain focused on that thought to the exclusion of others for as long as possible. If other thoughts interfere, do not push them away, but watch them pass by as if they were foreign ‘things’ in your consciousness. At first you might only be able to do this for maybe 1 minute or less. Slowly increase it up to 7 minutes.
The last part of the exercise consists of blanking your thoughts out. This is done by deciding to concentrate on perceptually dark nothingness. If a thought comes in, imagine throwing white light on it. Imagine that the light dissolves that thought and that the screen then goes back to nothingness. Try to maintain that state up to 5 minutes. Start with 1-2 minutes.
Exercise 3: The Movies
This exercise is the “going in and out of movies” exercise. All you need to do is to choose a good suspenseful motion picture and go watch it, preferably on a big screen. Try it also with hilarious comedies.
First, allow yourself to get immersed in the captivating story. As you forget about your identity and start becoming ‘within’ the plot of the scene, suddenly withdraw your awareness from the big screen (you may for the first time want to look a bit around you in the dark in order to remember ‘who you are’) and become the observer of reality again. Slowly reconnect to the plot, but this time, allow yourself to remain with the awareness of being yourself watching, as a spectator (observer), the reality projected in the movie.Keep this dual awareness for a moment and then let go and plunge within the movie action, forgetting your real inner self again. And then repeat the exercise over and over.
Keep on doing this mental withdrawal and then plunging in again, until you get to know intimately the feeling of withdrawing from ‘reality’ (aware of inner self) and diving back in it (aware of outer reality). Easy isn’t it? This simple exercise is very powerful.
As you get the knack of it try the same system as you go about your daily life. Use the same “mental trick” when engaged in your daily activities, especially the very ones that captivate you and are often associated with fear and stress. Soon, you will become aware at all times of being the ‘observer’ (inner self) observing the observed (reality and outer self) and become quite detached about it, enjoying your ‘movie’ in a much more relaxed and calm atmosphere.
Hope you enjoyed these exercises. Try them out, and let me know your feedback.
